My mother has been pushing for grand children ever since I hit puberty. No Joke!

This being her first grand child, she is over the moon.

She joked to me once saying she would buy me anything for me to have a baby, so I joked back, ok. I want a sapphire.

(I can’t remember why I said that)

Anyways, true to her word. She surprised me with this ring.

I love it’s little windows. It is a full eternity ring. 18k white gold with blue sapphires.

Maybe it is a premonition that I am having a boy. They did also have pink sapphire bands too.

This is also the exact type of ring I envisioned receiving as a push present from my husband.

(This decision was made before I explained to him what a push present is and he flat out denied getting me one. So I never thought more on the subject)

I love my new stack!

Breaks up the uniformity between my wedding band and engagement ring. I was already having doubts before the wedding about my wedding band choice. I wish I had gone from something that was different, not matching. But this solves that niggling thought.

I love my wedding band though. It looks like a row of diamonds on my hand as you can’t see much metal. (Sorry to anyone with channel set rings. HATE THEMMMMMMM with a passion)

It has been toooo long between cleans and a rhodium plating. Last time was right before the wedding. Eek! Had a big day yesterday, had post op appointment then went to a tile shop across the bridge in Artarmon, the jewellers in Leichhardt, lunch in Balmain, browsed shops in Balmain and Rozelle, another tile shop and then back to jewellers to pick up rings. Ahhhh I also drove my car for the first time in like a month!!!

I love these rings! So much.

Totally out of my non-existent budget, but I still appreciate their beauty.

“Yes, the website is going perfectly, I am working off the brief you emailed me. I shall have something to show you on Friday COB.

This is the biggest test of restraint.

I am sure the client wouldn’t mind, I mean, a sale is a sale right? But surely they would appreciate it if I concentrated on the job at hand, not shopping for my own personal collection.

I am loving how it is going. Can’t wait to show you the finished results.

I love doing websites. I have always, for some strange reason, wanted to do a hair salon’s website.

Including all the branding. I’d love to do some shop signs.

Well I have done that, once. It was for a private college… YAWN.

Anyways…. back to work, because I really do have a Friday deadline.

P.S here is the rings I LOVE. I haven’t seen anything like them. I think I’ll take both. I think I’ll con my husband into accepting the balance in the form of jewelry? YES?? Good Idea? No?

Hi Everyone,

I have worked myself into the ground! I am SICK, run down, exhausted.. beyond tired. To rectify this I have started a regime of multi vitamins and taking 2 fish oil capsules, not here and there.. but every single day. My water in-take has been good as well.

I have been doing stupid things, like slicing my finger! Going to Big W to buy a power board, paying for power board and coming back with NO power board. Going to Studio Fabric (I personally think this store is better then tessuti’s for bridal lace.. more range of trims, which is what I was interested in) and buying beaded lace trim for my veil… I bought enough lace for the OLD veil size….. so I am about 75cm short of lace! I am really not interested in going back to the city, paying for parking to buy a scrap of lace! Arghhh I was soooo sure I had it right! I thought I would have excess. Then it dawned on me. Yesterday I printed the very last of the wedding invite envelopes, I stuffed about 5 of them, I just wasn’t getting it.

I blame it all on my brain running on low memory. My brain is full and not taking on any more new information.

In other news, I have already received 2 R.S.V.P’s back!!!! I have filed them away accordingly.

Bridesmaid shoes have been purchased!

My sister came over and made about 50 candles for me!!! (Another stuff up, I used the wrong size wick in about 12 of them!!!!!)

My veil is only 25% sewn (I have a new lace trim which is more suited to my dress) It is taking longer to hand sew then I would have hoped!

Yesterday was a glorious overcast day, suitable for taking pics of gems!

Here is my 2nd installment to my favourite pricescope rings.

This ring is from my all time favourite jewelery master!

This man is my GOD. I bow down only to him. His name is Leon Mege.

He originally hailed from Russia, now owns his own studio in the diamond district in New York city!

He now offers a diamond concierge service for antique style cushion stones. Him and Good old gold are the only people worth considering for chunky cushions.

I wanted a chunky cushion for my engagement ring, but logistically it was impossible to get in Australia and we wanted to complete the ring process all under 1 roof, but from the 2 inspiration pictures I provided to the jeweler. I got what I asked for. I love my engagement ring.

Never the less, I am saving up for a good old gold August Vintage Cushion for a right hand ring.

Now, onto the ring!!

A ring like this comes around less then Halley’s comet. Tapered french cuts like that are a needle in the hay stack! Its a D coloured 3 carat antique style cushion cut.

Mr W’s wedding ring is beautiful! It even fits on my hand, which I thought it wouldn’t because his finger is SMALLER then mine (HOW EFFFING EMBARRASSING) but I tried it with my bling bling ring! I think it looks nice, nice contrast between sleek and sparkly!

Did you know that Tiffany and Co. doesn’t hand make their jewelery?? It is all cast (pour into molds) I only found this out just recently. I can’t believe they command such a premium for their products when their products aren’t even premium! Not that I was a massive fan of tiffs, but that is such a turn off. I always wondered why they never offered a bespoke or custom consultation for pieces. YEH because they don’t employ anyone talented to A. design with the client and B. a bench jeweler to MAKE the jewelery. They just have a production line going on. YUCK!

That is why I was wondering why Mr W’s wedding band was just a little under tiffs price… but all worries have been surpressed. We are getting FAR better quality!

We also spoke about my BESPOKE pendent designed by the three of us! Me, Mr W and my FAVOURITE and extraordinary diamond consultant at Cerrone in Martin Place. She picked the most amazing marquise cut stone that will sit above my pink topaz. For only 1 quarter carat it is a sparkly little guy. It physically took my breath away when I saw it. It has no bow tie either. I didn’t take any pictures, but I will once it is all finished. Mr W is thinking of holding off picking it up for a while. He can be such a tease… this is the man who had my engagement ring for 6 months until he proposed! That = HELL. I damn well nearly lost my marbles.

I think I will make the payments so I can pick them up a.s.a.p!  I want to snap pictures. Plus we have lots of other wedding related payments to make. If we get a start on it early! It will be much better.

Still eagerly awaiting the quote from the florist…. I hope I don’t fall off my chair.
